This course aims to increase knowledge and develop skills to assess and plan strategies for programs involving Public Health and Nutrition in line with Sustainable Development Goal 3: Health and Well-Being. Among the aspects that will be discussed is the relationship between public health principles and nutritional including the role of nutrition in promoting health and preventing disease, understanding nutritional needs throughout life, assessing dietary intake and nutritional status, exploring global and regional nutrition challenges, examining policies and interventions to address nutrition-related issues, and discuss strategies to promote healthy eating behaviors at the population level. Students will be assessed through assignments based on theory and tutorial sessions for respective topic. At the end of the course, students will be able to evaluate a health problem and propose a holistic intervention program.
